THE FED is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish Community.
Each month we look after 1,200 people living in our Community or in our care at Heathlands Village, 
from babies with special needs to older people with dementia. 
We estimate we will touch the lives of everyone in our community at some point.

The Fed have provided details of definitions of eligibility for their services as provided by all the local authorities in Manchester.  If you are unsure about this or would like to discuss if you are eligble you can call the FED on 0161 772 4800.
 
GROUP A DEFINITION:
Children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (who have severe learning disabilities or behaviour which is challenging) OR those children and young people whose challenging behaviour is associated with other impairments such as severe learning disabilities.
 
GROUP B DEFINITION:
Children and young people with complex health needs including those with disability and life limiting conditions, and/or those who require palliative care and/or those with associated impairments such as cognitive or sensory impairment and/or have moving/handling needs and/or require special equipment/adaptations.  Local areas are encouraged to collect age-profile data, but this will not be required to be reported centrally.
 
GROUP C DEFINITION:
Other, including siblings.
